The Czech Republic commits to the E-ELT
On 3 June 2011 in Prague, the Director of the Department of International Cooperation in Research and Development of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, Dr Jan Marek (seated, right) and the ESO Director General, Prof. Tim de Zeeuw (seated, left) signed an agreement committing the Czech Republic to provide its full share of the additional financial contribution required for construction of the European Extremely Large Telescope (E-ELT).
