The Star T Leporis to Scale

Comparison between the VLTI image of the Mira-like star T Leporis and the size of the orbit of the Earth around the Sun. The VLTI observations reveal the presence of a spherical molecular shell surrounding the star, which is about 100 times as large as the Sun.
Also marked is the resolution of the image, 4 milli-arcseconds.
