MarLy 1-metre telescope (decommissioned)
The MarLy 1-metre telescope was originally installed in France and operated by groups from Lyon and Marseilles, hence the name. It was subsequently moved to La Silla and used for the EROS 2 (Expérience pour la Recherche d'Objets Sombres) search for microlensing events.
Science goals
Search for MACHO dark matter; Microlensing studies; Follow-up supernovae.
