Telluric standard stars are measured as part of the calibration plan and/or by special request from the PI.

Standard star exposure. Example frame in the H band. Only the third IFU is used.

If flux information is available for the telluric standard then the instrument efficiency is calculated by the pipeline.

Trending

The mean efficiency (throughput) is monitored for all five spectral bands over time. An additional plot exists to compare the efficiency from one IFU to another.

Algorithm Efficiency

Median of the throughput per wavelength, in e-/photon. The parameter through_mean is the average of the throughput of all active IFUs.

The FWHM of the star PSF is calculated per IFU.

Trending

Trending of the PSF is set up for the three IFUs (4, 12, 19) which are most frequently used for standard star observations. In order to better detect differences between the IFUs, also ratio values like PSF(IFU12)/PSF(IFU4) are plotted.
