NOTE: The Health Check and calChecker services will be moved to qcFlow in the course of 2023 on an instrument by instrument basis. The current pages will then not be updated any longer.
GRAVITY science set-ups are defined by the following keys: INS.SPEC.RES: spectral resolution (LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH) INS.POLA.MODE: polarimetry mode (SPLIT or COMBINED) of the science channel (SC) FT.POLA.MODE: polarimetry mode (SPLIT or COMBINED) of the fringe tracker (FT) DET2.SEQ1.DIT: DIT of the SC detector. INS.DET3.GAIN: gain of the FT detector.
All daytime calibrations (DARKs, FLATS, WAVEs, and P2VMs) should be measured daily in the set-ups
(INS.SPEC.RES, INS.POLA.MODE, and FT.POLA.MODE) that have been used during the night.
DARKs should match in addition the DIT of the SC detector. Matching of the FT DIT is not required.
Note that darks for reducing science data must have the same INS.FDDL.WINDOW as the science (0.0 by default). Darks measured
within the P2VM template cannot be used for science because of a different INS.FDDL.WINDOW (0.1).
