VISIR SCIENCE DATA: GENERAL

VISIR is designed to obtain imaging and spectroscopic scientific observations. The data can also be used to assess the instrument status.

Recipes and products

The following VISIR science products are created from raw science files (click here for a complete overview of calibration files and recipes):

Naming scheme

After production and certification, the science products are renamed after a scheme which includes type, creation data and relevant VISIR setting.

REDUCTION CASCADE

Currently there is no cascade included in processing of VISIR science frames.
