Jeden z nejnovějších snímků pořízených na observatoři La Silla (ESO) zachycuje část hvězdných jeslí označovaných jako mlhovina Racek (Seagull Nebula). Tento oblak plynu s oficiálním označením Sharpless 2-292 připomíná hlavu racka. Září tak jasně díky intenzivnímu vyzařování velmi mladé žhavé hvězdy ukryté v jeho srdci. Detailní snímek byl pořízen kamerou WFI (Wide Field Imager) umístěnou na teleskopu MPG/ESO o průměru primárního zrcadla 2,2 m.
