These plots monitor the mean level of the two raw bias frames that make up the read-noise template. The intent is to monitor OmegaCAM's troublesome detector ESO_CCD_#82 (red points) whose offset can fluctuate strongly, particularly following periods when the instrument has been idle.

This plot

Trending plots for the bias read-out noise. The intent is to monitor OmegaCAM's troublesome detector ESO_CCD_#82 whose offset can fluctuate strongly, particularly following periods when the instrument has been idle.

For comparison, the stable detectors ESO_CCD_#81 and ESO_CCD_#83 are plotted for reference.

DB Name: omegacam_readnoise
Fits header: QC.BIAS1.RAWREADNOISE
QC1 DB: qc_raw_bias1_mean / qc_raw_bias2_mean

Description:
The level of the two raw bias frames is measured

Setup:
BIN.X / BIN.Y / READ.MODE / READ.SPEED = 1/1/normal/normal

These Health Check plots describe:
Fig. 1 raw_bias1_mean: The mean level of the first raw bias frame is plotted for detectors #82, #81, and #83 (in ADU).
Fig. 2 raw_bias2_mean: The mean level of the second raw bias frame is plotted for detectors #82, #81, and #83 (in ADU).

General information

Click on any of the plots to see a close-up version. The latest date is indicated on top of the plot, data points belonging to that date are specially marked.

If configured,

  • statistical averages are indicated by a solid line, and thresholds by broken lines
  • outliers are marked by a red asterisk. They are defined as data points outside the threshold lines
  • "aliens" (= data points outside the plot Y limits) are marked by a red arrow ( or )
  • you can download the data for each parameter set if the 'Data downloads' link shows up
