The ZIMPOL optical CCDs are operated synchroneously in a special
shift-and-add mode (see the User Manual and the pipeline user manual for
details). ZIMPOL has two detectors (DET.CHIP.NAME= Callas and Bartoli),
each one with 1156 x 2014 pixel. Raw frames come with two extensions,
for each detector one fits cube. ZIMPOL detectors can be operated in one
of the three modes (DET.READ.CURNAME) StandardImaging, SlowPolarimetry
and FastPolarimetry. For technical reasons the minimum exposure time DIT=1.1sec
for StandardImaging and FastPolarimetry and it is 10sec for SlowPolarimetry.

**There might be more than one. |
Trending
The bias level is trended for both chips (CAM1, CAM2 = Callas, Bartoli) and for all three read modes.
Scoring&thresholds ZIMPL Bias Level
The QC parameter is scored with thresholds of +- 2%.
History
2018-11: Since begin of operations BIAS fits headers reported DIT=0, although for technical reasons the real minimum possible DIT should is 10 or 1.1.
The templates for DARK and FLAT have been fixed in 2018-11, the templates for BIAS have been fixed in 2019-01.
Algorithm ZIMPL Bias Level
The median of the first plane of the raw frame cube is used.

The readout noise is trended for both chips (CAM1, CAM2 = Callas, Bartoli) and for all three read modes.
Scoring&thresholds ZIMPOL RON
The QC parameter is scored with an upper threshold of 4 ADU.
History
No remarks.
Algorithm ZIMPOL RON
The first five planes of the data cube are considered. For each pixel the standard deviation out of the five planes is calculated. The median of all stdev values between x=[300,850] and y=[100,900] is taken.
