If you are visiting ESO sites and you like to capture your experience on camera, the Department of Communication invites you to share your photos with the world. There are a number of ways in which we can help you to do this, and if photography is your secret — or not so secret — superpower (after astronomy), we might invite you to join our network of Photo Ambassadors.
Share Your Photos Of ESO Sites With The World

- Email your photos at yourESOpictures@eso.org to be evaluated for the images online archive or perhaps as an ESO Picture of the Week.
- Add your photos to the Your ESO Pictures Flickr Group with a caption. ESO may share your photos on social media using #YourESOPictures or contact you via private Flickr message to request the use of your images for the online archive.
- Email the social media coordinator with your (short) story and image if you would like to share your content on ESO’s social media channels - do include your handle so we can tag you.
All images published on the ESO website are shared under the Creative Commons 4.0 License. Please submit the highest resolution available for the photos, with no watermarks. The image will have as credit Your Name/ESO. Read more about ESO’s copyright policy here.
