GENERAL INFORMATION


These pages contain information about VISIR Quality Control parameters and trending plots.

VISIR calibration data are pipeline-processed to create calibration products. The quality of the products is measured by QC1 parameters. All QC1 parameters are measured on calibration products using the pipeline and are stored in a database. Their evolution with time is evaluated by the trending process. All currently available trending plots can be accessed here or via the links above.

 

INSTRUMENT PROPERTIES TRENDED


The following properties of the VISIR instrument components are trended:

detector
  • read-out noise
  • dark current
  • number of bad pixels

instrument performance in imaging mode

  • sensitivity in N and Q band
  • conversion factor in N and Q band
