Around the World in 80 Telescopes, for 100 Hours Of Astronomy
"Around the World in 80 Telescopes" was a live, 24-hour webcast from some of the most advanced astronomical observatories both on and off the planet. It was part of "100 Hours of Astronomy", a Cornerstone Project of the International Year of Astronomy (IYA) 2009. This image shows the webcast team and Douglas Pierce-Price, the lead of the project, speaking to the whole team just before the event. Image taken in April 2009.
