ISAAC
ISAAC, the Infrared Spectrometer And Array Camera, is mounted on Antu, the first VLT Unit Telescope. This instrument analysis the infrared light with wavelength from 1 to 5 microns. It can both take images and disperse the light in spectra. The instrument's optics and detector are kept at very low temperature in a vacuum vessel.
