LGSF, the Magellanic Clouds and comet McNaught
The gigantic tail of comet C/2006 P1 (McNaught) fans over the horizon at Paranal, while the artificial Laser Guide Star (LGSF) is being trained on the Large Magellanic Cloud. The Small Magellanic cloud is also visible near the center.
