MAD integration
MAD, the Multi-conjugate Adaptive optics Demonstrator, is a prototype instrument developed at ESO to evaluate various technologies that will be used with the next generation of instruments and telescopes. The goal is to achieve a full correction of the atmospheric turbulences over a large field of view, using several reference stars, some natural ones, and some artificial laser guide stars. MAD is seen during its integration in the instrumentation lab.
