The VLT Astronomical Site Monitor

The Astronomical Site Monitor at Paranal (to the right side of the picture): North of the four 8.2m telescopes the ASM meteorological tower and automated seeing monitor are upwind in most conditions.

The 5m high DIMM tower (Capodimonte Observatory, Italy) and the fully retractable enclosure (Fa. Halfmann, Germany) at Paranal. The picture is taken looking to the West.
