ESO observatories route map

ESO operates observatories at three sites in Chile: Chajnantor, Cerro Paranal and Cerro La Silla (“Cerro” is the Spanish word for “Mountain”). In addition, ESO will construct the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) at Cerro Armazones, near Paranal. This map shows the airports nearest to the observatories and the connecting car routes, as well as the location of ESO offices.
