ESO Supernova preparations

The ESO Supernova Planetarium & Visitor Centre is a cutting-edge free astronomy centre for the public located at the site of ESO Headquarters in Garching bei München, providing you with an immersive experience that will leave you in awe of the Universe we live in. It is due to open in April 2018.

This image shows a special machine moving ice that was preventing groundwater from flowing away — this removal was vital for making sure the ESO Supernova didn't flood!
