Laser Guide Star at the VLT
The familiar soft glow of the Milky Way is interrupted by the stark orange glow of a Laser Guide Star beam emanating from one of the Unit Telescopes that form part of ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT). This premier observing facility is located at the Paranal Observatory in northern Chile.
