Programme

Structure of the workshop

The workshop is split into Galactic and Extra-galactic scientific fields in the morning/afternoons of each day of the workshop. Additionally, we will discuss lessons learned from these (and other) imaging surveys (half day), as well as future (half day) imaging surveys.

Contributed talks are intertwined with invited talks describing imaging surveys spanning a near-complete range of science cases, environments (from stars to the largest structures observed in the universe) and instruments from ESO and other observatories.

To encourage the attendants and others to download the data of the public surveys (especially Phase 3 data) for their own science, we are proposing a few talks and will offer additional help and hands-on sessions in the week(s) following the workshop, for those people that prefer hands-on sessions. People who are interested in these activities or have specific questions are encouraged to contact the organizers in advance.
