Dear colleagues, The Star Cluster meeting at ESO is approaching. We have received an overwhelming response (38 speakers and 3 attendants) from people from all over Chile and we believe that the we have realised a very interesting program of 2.5 days. Hereby we send you the final program (attached) and some details that may be of interest for you. Please check carefully the dates and times of your talk, since we have shuffled a bit here and there as compared to the previous versions you have seen. - The meeting starts at 09:00 on Monday March 9th at ESO (Alonso de Cordoba 3107, Vitacura). The meeting will be in the library which is situated in the Main building of ESO at Alonso de Cordova 3107 - We assume everybody knows how to travel to and from ESO and find accommodation. If you still look for accommodation: Hotel El Director on the corner of Alonso de Cordova and Avenida Vitacura has a special ESO rate (USD $78,-) including breakfast. Contact Paulina Jiron (pjiron@eso.org) to make the reservation. - ESO provides coffee and tea during the breaks and lunches. On Tuesday evening we are planning to go for dinner somewhere in Vitacura. The costs will be around $20.000,- and we ask you to confirm with hsana@eso.org before March 1st if you are interested in joining. - Students and post-docs of Chilean Universities outside of Santiago can get reimbursement of their bus ticket and 1 night of hotel. This can be arranged while you are here with Paulina Jiron. Please bring receipts. - We would like to receive all the talks in PDF format before the start of the session. If you can not convert your presentation to PDF (because of movies etc.) we ask you to check the connection before the start of the session and make sure your screen resolution etc. are all set correctly in order to make the transitions between the talks as smooth as possible. - Talks are 15 minutes and 5 minutes questions, but we have also reserved discussion sessions before lunch and at the end of the day. The session moderators will collect unanswered questions and/or unfinished discussions on a white board and they will be shifted to these discussion moments. - Lastly, since this is an informal meeting, you dont need to send an abstract. We also have not made name badges. Since we have quite a number of people, it would still be nice to have some sort of identification, so you can bring a badge from a previous conference. They are probably lying around peoples desks :-) All information can also be found here: http://www.eso.org/sci/activities/santiago/projects/ClusterGroup/conference/index.html We are looking forward to seeing you at ESO! Hugues Sana, Steffen Mieske, Giovanni Carraro and Mark Gieles
