Data Reduction Frequently Asked Questions
How can I improve the flux calibration of my spectra?
Make sure to use spectrophotometric standard star observations under clear or photometric conditions. They should also use the flat-fields of the science frames but for some stability reasons of the flat-fields this may be impossible. Also to ensure the best possible flux calibration, your science observations should have 5" slits observations, i.e. same slits than for the specphot standard star observations.
