Observing with ALMA

These pages contain information that is relevant for the community to prepare for future observations with ALMA. Presently, it contains information about Policies and Procedures, it introduces the ALMA Basics, gives a brief overview of the Systems Specifications, and provides information about and links to Software Tools and Services, including data reduction software and a sensitivity calculator.

Information about Comissioning and Science Verification (CSV) is also give here. SCV activities are scheduled to start in Chile in the second half of 2009.

In due time, these pages will also provide links to information that is relevant for the communitity to prepare and submit Phase I and Phase II proposals. Support to astronomers preparing their Phase 1 and 2 material will be provided by the ALMA Regional Centre.
