LOCATION & PRACTICAL INFORMATION, CARGESE

LIVING FACILITIES

The Institute is located on the seashore of the island of Corsica, 50km north of Ajaccio, 2km south of Cargèse, a pleasant village of considerable charm and historic interest.. On working days, lunches will be served at the Institute. The accompanying persons can join you for lunch. It will cost them FF 1020 for the whole duration of the school. Dinners are not organized. One can have dinner either at the hotel, apartments or in the various restaurants* of the village (*average costs FF 65 to 110 per meal).

Your accommodation is attributed according to your request. There are various housing possibilities (all costs are approximate):

a) Camping on the grounds of the institute (you have to bring your own equipment) FF 380 for the whole duration
b) Hotels in the village (bed and breakfast) FF 250 to FF 400 per person per day
c) Shared room at the Institute or in the village FF 120 to FF 160 per person per day
d) Single room in shared apartment FF 180 to FF 200 per person per day
e) Rented apartment in the village for your family (all furnished, house linen and sheets included, cooking facilities) FF 270 to FF 500 per day

TRAVEL

ATTENTION: You are supposed to organize your own travel. Do make sure to organize your return travel before your coming here as there is no travel agency in Cargèse. We intend to organize a Group flight, costing approximately Ff 1200 (no further reduction for children - free of charge for babies under 2 years old), from Paris/Orly to Ajaccio on Monday 4th May and Ajaccio to Paris/Orly on Friday 15th May.
