Star Forming Region g45.45 M.Feldt (May 21, 2002) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: ------------ g45.45 (centre, J2000.0) 19:14:21.3 +11:09:13.5 Ultracompact HII region from WC89, observerd by AO systems ADONIS and Gemini North. At least 8 O-stars identified inside, large amounts of hot dust + one obscured (in K) source to the north. The goal of NACO observations is manyfold: 1.) use highest resolution in J to search for further multiplicity of stellar sources 2.) use H / K / L data to go deeper than any of previous observations, thereby detect new stellar sources and secure the older identifications which were based on the H-K-colour only. 3.) find & identify the deeple embedded northern source 4.) Trace the origin of BrG emission and possibly deteced H2-line emission; new extinction determination. 5.) new detailed map of the hot dust distribution, possibly new traces of sequential star formation 6.) at least one really cool picture!
