Science Day 2003
At the annual Science Day event, held at ESO's headquarters in Garching, Germany, scientists gather for presentations and to discuss research proposals. November 2003's attendees, shown here, had mild weather the day of the event -- in 2001, in contrast, snow blanketed the ground.
