ProChile pitää innovaatio huippukokouksen ESO Supernovassa ESO:n päämajassa, Saksassa
Tapahtuma keskittyy yhdistämään Euroopan ja Chilen bisnesmaailmaa. Mukana puhujana toimii ESO:n pääjohtaja Xavier Barcons.

Kolmas ProChile innovaatio huippukokous päätti Münchenin ensimmäiseksi Euroopan puolella pidettäväksi kokouspaikakseen 9.-10.10.2019. Keskittyen digitaaliseen talouteen tapahtuma etsii keinoja materialisoida yhteistyö ja bisnes mahdollisuuksia Chilen ja Saksan välillä, keskittyen pääasiassa Big Dataan, logistiikkaan, e-mobilityyn, digitaaliseen terveyteen, suunnitteluun ja kestäviin materiaaleihin.
Tapahtumaan osallistui tärkeitä yrityksiä, kuten Microsoft, Siemens, BMW ja IBM, jotka jakoivat tietoa heidän innovaatioprojekteistaan Chilessä.
Ensimmäisen päivän aktiviteetteihin kuului huippukokouksen vierailijoiden vastaanotto ESO Supernova Planetarium & Visitor Centressa, joka sijaitsee ESO:n päämajassa Münchenin lähellä olevassa Garchingissa. Täällä ESO:n pääjohtaja Xavier Barcons puhui virkamiehille ja vieraille, kuten Chilen Saksan suurlähettiläälle Cecilia MacKennalle ja ProChilen pääjohtajalle Jorge O’Ryanille mainiten Chilen strategisen roolin maailman huipputähtitieteen kehityksessä.
ProChilen pääjohtaja Jorde O’Ryan Schütz sanoi: ”Siitä lähtien kun ESO alkoi tekemään yhteistyötä Chilen kanssa rakentaen observatorioita maahamme, suhde on muovautunut 50 vuoden aikana yhdistäen meidät teknologian ja innovaation kehityksessä. ProChile on päättänyt Münchenin kolmanneksi ProChile Innovation Summit tapahtuman pitopaikakseen, koska näemme potentiaalia kansainvälistymisessä tällä alueella Saksassa. Olemme kiitollisia voidessamme pitää osan tapahtumasta ESO:n tiloissa ja toivomme tämän suhteen jatkuvan tulevaisuudessa, sekä innovaation ja yritysten pysyvän keskiössä, mahdollistaen lisääntyvän sitoutumisen teihin ja Baijerin alueeseen.”
Lopulta vieraat pääsivät nauttimaan interaktiivisesta tähtitieteen näyttelystä ESO Supernovassa, kokemaan universumin moniaistisesti näyttelyssä, joka koostuu musiikista, akustiikasta, valosta ja visuaalisista vaikutelmista.
Claudio Melo, ESO edustaja Chilessä kertoi nämä aloitteet ”ovat yksi esimerkki erinomaisesta kahdenvälisistä suhteista, joita organisaatiomme pitää Chileen, jotka korostavat molempien osapuolien osuutta strategisella matkalla kehitykseen”. ESO:n pääjohtaja Xavier Barcons sanoi että ”Me huomaamme suurella tyytyväisyydellä, että Chile pitää ESO:a strategisena kumppanina sen kansainvälisellä puolella. Tämän vuoksi näin tärkeän tapahtuman pitäminen ESO Supernovassa on vahva symboolinen teko yhteistyön kannalta, jossa ESO toimii siltana Chilen ja Euroopan välillä.”

The ESO Supernova Planetarium & Visitor Centre on maailmanhuippu yleisö ja opintokeskus tähtitieteelle, joka sijaitsee ESOn pääkeskuksessa Garching Bei Münchenissä. Keskuksesta löytyy Saksan, Itävallan ja Sveitsin suurin kallistettu planetaario ja interaktiivinen näyttely, jakaakseen lumoavan tähtitieteen maailman ja ESOn inspiroidakseen tulevia sukupolvia arvostamaan ja ymmärtämään universumiamme ympärillämme. Kaikki materiaali keskuksessa on käännetty englanniksi ja saksaksi. Sisäänpääsyn näyttely on ilmainen ja se ei vaadi ennakkovarausta. ESO Supernova Planetarium & Visitor Centre toimii Euroopan Eteläisen Observatorion (ESO) ja Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS) yhteistyönä. Rakennus on saksalaisen Klaus Tschira Stiftun (KTS) säätiön lahjoittama ja ESO operoi laitosta.
