Paranal Residencia
The building shown in this image is the Paranal Residencia, the hotel where VLT staff and astronomers visiting to use the telescopes stay. It is an award-winning building that provides an oasis amid the harsh desert surroundings, and was used as a filming location for the James Bond movie "Quantum of Solace".
