ALMA at twilight

Twilight falls on Chile's Chajnantor plateau, and the dishes that make up the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) take on an eery and mysterious appearance in their desert home. A total of 66 dishes make up this remarkable instrument, which observes the coldest parts of the Universe.
