Science in School: la edición 49 ya está disponible

El último número de la revista gratuita Science in School (Ciencia en la Escuela) ya está disponible, tanto en forma impresa como en su versión en línea. Esta revista europea, dirigida a educadores de las ciencias, ofrece información actualizada sobre ciencia de vanguardia, materiales didácticos y proyectos en el ámbito de la educación científica, entrevistas con inspiradores científicos y profesores, reseñas de libros, además de diversas herramientas de utilidad para los profesores de ciencias. Tiene como objetivo promover la enseñanza de las ciencias, fomentando la comunicación entre profesores, científicos y todos aquellos involucrados en el proceso educativo de la ciencia europea.
Entre lo más destacado de esta entrega se incluye: un artículo que resume los métodos usados por los cazadores de planetas para buscar planetas más allá del Sistema Solar; una exploración de varias teorías sobre cómo surgió la vida; y una presentación de la cámara más rápida del mundo para rayos X blandos en la sección Noticias de EIRO.
Las actividades didácticas incluyen: un experimento fascinante, no solo para detectives aficionados, en el cual las huellas dactilares latentes se hacen visibles; una actividad para cultivar plantas como si estuviésemos en el espacio exterior o en planetas distantes; e instrucciones sobre cómo descubrir si un súper alimento es también un súper poder.
Science in School es una publicación de EIROforum, una colaboración entre ocho organizaciones intergubernamentales europeas dedicadas a la investigación científica, que cuenta con la participación de ESO. La revista aborda la enseñanza de las ciencias en toda Europa y entre diversas disciplinas, resaltando lo mejor de la docencia y de la investigación de vanguardia. Aceptamos con agrado el envío de artículos para ediciones futuras, tanto de investigadores que brinden una comprensión más profunda acerca de un tema científico en particular como de profesores u otros educadores científicos que describan actividades innovadoras para introducir las ciencias modernas en el aula de clases. Existen numerosos artículos en línea, con sus correspondientes traducciones a diversos idiomas europeos.
