ALMA in winter

The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array, or ALMA, site underneath amongst the snow-capped peaks of hte Chajnantor plateau. ALMA is the world's largest ground-based facility for observations in the millimeter/submillimeter regime, 5000 meters altitude in northern Chile.
