Swedish Heterodyne Facility Instrument Science Verification

The Science Verification (SV) observations of the APEX Swedish Heterodyne Facility Instrument were observed in March 2008. ESO requested input from the community by issuing a call for SV projects in February 2008. We received 39 proposals. A selection of the APEX-1 proposals listed below have been observed during the week of joint SV observations in March 2008. The APEX-3 and APEX-T2 SV projects will be observed in dynamical scheduling throughout period 81. ESO will also continue observing APEX-1 proposals during period 81.

SV projects were submitted by all three APEX partners (MPIfR, ESO and Onsala) and the host country Chile. For the joint science verification in March 2008, they were combined in a single pool of observations. This joint science verification data will be validated and released by the APEX Board. These validated data products will be available from the ESO science archive facility and linked below on this web page.
