The lonely road to la Silla
The La Silla site is the home to ground breaking technology and research. To achieve such optimal observing conditions, the site is very isolated at the outskirts of the Chilean Atacama Desert. This distinctive fish-eye image shows the road to the la Silla site, with the stunning detail of a sky without the interference of light pollution splashed across the centre.
