ELT in 3D

An artist's rendering of the upcoming Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) on the Cerro Armazones mountain in Chile. The mountain's peak has been flattened and vital road systems built as a precursor to the full construction. The ELT will be the largest optical/near-infrared telescope in the world.

With some special red/blue glasses, it is now possible to get an even more realistic idea of what the telescope will look like when complete.
