La Silla from the sky
ESO's La Silla Observatory is captured from a new perspective in this amazing aerial shot of the La Silla Ridge and its family of telescopes.
La Silla is located 600 kilometres north of Santiago de Chile in the southern part of the Chilean Atacama desert. The observatory is situated 2400 metres above sea level.
