14 antennas at the ALMA AOS
Fourteen 12-metre ALMA antennas are positioned near the centre of the array at 5000 metres altitude on the Chajnantor plateau. In the background, on the right is the 5600-metre-high Cerro Chajnantor, while on the left is Cerro Toco, whose peak is also above 5600 metres. On the left edge of the image, the 12-metre single-dish APEX telescope is also visible. The picture was taken looking toward the northeast, in May 2011.
