Moonrise at ALMA

High up in the Atacama desert of northern Chile, sits the world's most advanced radio telescope, the Atacama Large Millimetre Array (ALMA). Comprised of 66 individual antennas — a few of which are visible here — extremely detailed observations of the Universe can be made from the Chajnantor plateau.
