ESO Director General at the VLT
One of the smaller auxiliary telescope's of the ESO Very Large Telescope (VLT) is visible behind the ESO Director General, Tim de Zeeuw. A truly spectacular sky lies over the scene. The Milky Way appears as a great splash of stars, with the fainter blotches of our neighbouring dwarf galaxies — the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds — also visible.
