In the context of the project ′ALMA enhancement′ funded by EU FP6, we have undertaken a R&D work on imaging algorithms for observations of large fields with a radio interferometer, in particular when the sky is scanned in on-the-fly mode. In this contribution we will briefly present the algorithm published in Pety & Rodriguez-Fernandez (2010), which is based in an explicit implementation of the Ekers & Rots (1979) scheme. We will also describe the implementation of the new imaging algorithm in GILDAS (IRAM software for analysis of radio astronomy observations) as well as the integration in CASA (software package used by the ALMA project).
