Udfordringer i kommunikation af astronomi og rumudforskning

Communicating Astronomy with the Public 2013 (CAP2013) konference

2013 konferencen for Communicating Astronomy with the Public (CAP) vil finde sted i Warshava i Polen den 14.-18. oktober. Informationsmedarbejdere, formidlere, journalister, formelle samt uformelle undervisere inviteres til at debattere de seneste udfordringer i kommunikation af astronomi og dele deres succeshistorier og erfaringer.

CAP2013 vil udvide diskussionsemnerne til at inkludere rumudforskning, rumturisme og kommerciel deltagen i rumrelaterede aktiviteter. Da konferencen foregår på et moderne planetarium, vil der blive sat fokus på audiovisuel og multimedie kommunikation i bredeste forstand. Populære emner fra tidligere CAP konferencer vil fortsat være på dagsordnen.

Interesserede deltagere tilskyndes til at indsende et resumé før den 21. juni 2013 under følgende hovedemner.

• Social media for astronomy outreach
• Media relations
• Multimedia communication, including tools and techniques
• Crowdsourcing and citizen science projects
• Alternative ways for communicating astronomy with the public
• Using astronomy outreach to thrill children with science and technology
• Evaluation, impact and monitoring of outreach projects
• Support for science policy-makers
• Social impact of astronomy communication
• Astronomy communication in the developing world
• Communicating Astronomy with the Public in the context of the IAU Strategic Plan
• CAP community involvement in International Year of Light 2015

Indsendelse af resume kan ske her. Early bird tilmelding - 300 € (inkluderer konference middag) - vil være tilgængelig indtil den 21. juni 2013. Studerende og andre deltagere der søger om støtte skal sende et motivationsbrev med titlen "CAP2013 Support) til support@cap2013.pl. Mødet er planlagt af IAU Commission 55: Communicating Astronomy with the Public, i samarbejde med Warsaw University of Technology (Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering) and the Copernicus Science Centre.
