This diagram shows how black hole mass varies with angular size distance. Spatial resolution assumes the diffraction limit case and scales with the telescope diameter. The ELT line is for θ_res = 10 mas (a value intermediate between the two wavelength-dependent extremes), the VLT one is for θ_res = 50 mas (ERIS), while the JWST one is θ_res = 60 mas.
