Open House Day 2018

Visitors to ESO's Garching Headquarters learn about ESO's work exploring the Universe on Open House Day (OHD), Saturday 13 October 2018. Along with other institutes based at the science research centre in Garching, ESO participates in this event where the public are invited to explore the centre and learn about the research projects being conducted here. This was the first OHD during which visitors were able to explore the new Supernova Planetarium & Visitor Centre, which opened just a few months earlier in April 2018. Activities organised for this event included guided tours, live experiments, talks from ESO scientists and a live connection to ESO's sites in Chile.
