When it's not serving as a Bond villain's lair, the Residencia at Paranal is home to the many scientists, technicians and engineers who work at ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT). Our glorious home galaxy, the Milky Way, can be seen shining above through the crystal clear Chilean skies.
