ESO al Big Science Forum per le imprese 2020

Il Big Science Business Forum 2020 (BSBF2020) è il secondo evento di questo tipo, inteso come uno sportello unico in cui le imprese europee e le altre parti interessate possono conoscere gli investimenti e gli acquisti futuri da parte delle organizzazioni scientifiche europee. L'evento è organizzato da un Comitato Organizzatore Internazionale composto da 10 grandi organizzazioni scientifiche, tra cui l'ESO. L'evento sarà ospitato dal Centro per lo sviluppo della tecnologia industriale (CDTI), dal Ministero della Scienza, Innovazione e Università e dal CIEMAT - Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas. Si svolgerà dal 6 al 9 ottobre 2020 a Granada, in Spagna.
"Big Science" è un termine che indica come il progresso scientifico si basi in maniera crescente su progetti a larga scala, spesso finanziati da governi nazionali o gruppi governativi, che portano a una ricerca collaborativa sempre più ampia e a progetti scientifici globali. La Big Science è supportata da grandi e piccole imprese provenienti da tutto il mondo e interessa la criogenia, i superconduttori, i materiali e l’elettronica, ma anche tecnologie astronomiche rivoluzionarie.
Si attendono circa 1000 partecipanti, principalmente da aziende e organizzazioni europee che intendono impegnarsi nel mercato della Grande Scienza. Sessioni parallele dedicate, incontri individuali e una mostra sul tema daranno ai partecipanti l'opportunità di:
- Scoprire le opportunità di business future, in una vasta gamma di aree di impiego
- Incontrare i rappresentanti delle grandi organizzazioni scientifiche europee e i loro principali fornitori.
- Partecipare alle discussioni relative alle opportunità e alle sfide del grande mercato scientifico.
- Creare una rete e stabilire partnership attraverso incontri business-to-business, business-to-customer e nell'area espositiva aperta.
- Ottenere informazioni sulle regole di acquisizione, i diritti di proprietà intellettuale, il trasferimento di tecnologia e il modo in cui le aziende possono interagire con il mercato Big Science.
- Vedere le presentazioni dettagliate sugli acquisti futuri.
L’ESO è un perfetto esempio di Big Science. È partner di ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array), lo strumento da terra più grande al mondo per l'osservazione a lunghezze d'onda millimetriche e submillimetriche. Il VLT (Very Large Telescope), il fiore all'occhiello dell'ESO, è l’osservatorio astronomico più avanzato nella banda del visibile e l’ELT (Extremely Large Telescope), in fase di costruzione, diventerà il più grande occhio del mondo rivolto al cielo.
I relatori dell'ESO terranno un totale di 9 presentazioni al BSBF2020, incluso un discorso programmatico del direttore generale dell'ESO, Xavier Barcons.
Le seguenti organizzazioni sono membri del Comitato Organizzatore Internazionale e sono state coinvolte nella creazione del forum: Organizzazione europea per la ricerca nucleare (CERN), Laboratorio europeo di biologia molecolare (EMBL), Agenzia spaziale europea (ESA), Osservatorio europeo australe (ESO), European Spallation Source (ESS), European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), European X-Ray Free Electron Laser Facility (European XFEL), Facility for Antriproton and Ion Research in Europe (FAIR), Fusion for Energy (F4E), Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) e Square Kilometer Array (SKA).
